REGIONAL NATURAL PARK EL VINCULO

The Regional Natural Park El Vínculo is a center for scientific research, conservation, restoration, ecotourism, environmental and cultural education and in some cases for recreational activities of low impact and outdoor recreation, such as bird sightings.

Its land is a sanctuary where the magic of nature is recreated and grows at ease, but it is also a privileged place for basic research of native flora and fauna.

Beauty and landscape richness, hundreds of birds, flowers, trees and animals in danger of extinction, typical of dry forest, take refuge in the 80 hectares of the Regional Natural Park El Vínculo.

Location

It is located in the corregimiento of the same name, 3 kilometers south of the municipality of Buga on the Pan-American Highway.

Extension

It has 80 hectares of tropical dry forest in the piedmont of the central mountain range.

Flora

It has 112 wild species living in the territory of the park, between 980 and 1,150 meters above sea level.

Territory of the pizamos, guaimaros, zanconas palms, caracolíes, guásimos and dindes.

Wildlife
Some 137 animal species such as the coclí that has managed to survive after it was declared as an endangered species. As well as the kingfisher, ibis and eagles caracoleras.
All this surrounded by the strange beauty of chigüiros, foxtails, anteaters, white-tailed deer and mountain pampas.

History
The Regional Natural Park El Vínculo, had its origin in a land with use of livestock farm that was donated by its owner Azcárate Rivera in 1968

El Parque Natural Regional El Vínculoes un centro destinado para la investigación científica, conservación, restauración, ecoturismo, educación ambiental y cultural y en algunos casos para actividades recreativas de bajo impacto y esparcimiento al aire libre, como avistamiento de aves.

Su terreno es un santuario donde la magia de la naturaleza se recrea y crece a sus anchas, pero también es un lugar privilegiado para la investigación básica de la flora y la fauna nativas.

Belleza y riqueza paisajística, cientos de aves, flores, árboles y animales en vía de extinción, propios de bosque seco, se refugian en las 80 hectáreas del Parque Natural Regional El Vínculo.

Ubicación
Está localizado en el corregimiento del mismo nombre, 3 kilómetros al sur del municipio de Buga sobre la carretera Panamericana.

Extensión
Cuenta con 80 hectáreas de bosque seco tropical en el Piedemonte de la Cordillera central.

Flora
Cuenta con 112 especies silvestres conviven en el territorio del parque, entre unos 980 y 1.150 metros de altura sobre el nivel del mar.

Territorio de los pízamos, guaimaros, palmas zanconas, caracolíes, guásimos y dindes.

Fauna
Unas 137 especies animales como el coclí que ha logrado sobrevivir luego de que se declarara como una especie en vía de extinción. Así como el martín pescador, ibis y águilas caracoleras.

Todo ello rodeado de la extraña belleza de chigüiros, zorros cañeros, osos hormigueros, venados coliblancos y pavas de montes.

Historia

Atractivos de El Río Calima

Es un balneario natural situado cerca al municipio de Calima/Darien, ideal para disfrutar del campo y la naturaleza, para programar su paseo familiar o el “parche” con los amigos.

El río Calima es uno de los principales destinos turísticos de fines de semana y días feriados.

El río Calima  es posiblemente “el lugar de escape más común que utilizan los turistas y bañistas procedentes de todo el Valle del Cauca.”

Uno de los principales atractivos de este río es su caudal corrientoso  y su agua es fría y cristalina.

Además tiene condiciones de Bosque Húmedo, por lo que cuenta con una gran variedad de fauna y flora.

En estos paseos usualmente se lleva comida o se prepara directamente en el río. A estos últimos se los conoce como “Paseos de olla” y los más tradicionales son en los que se prepara Sancocho de Gallina.

Igualmente, si no se desea preparar la comida en el río o llevarla, siempre se puede acudir a alguno de los restaurantes de la zona. Encontrar venta de alimentos en el sector es muy fácil, especialmente si se encuentra en uno de los balnearios.

Sólo existe una ruta de entrada y de salida del río Calima,  por lo que llegar hasta el lugar es relativamente sencillo. Si va en carro particular o en bus usted llega muy fácil ya que el principal “playa o charco se encuentra muy cerca de vía pavimenta.

Attractions of El Río Calima

It is a natural spa located near the municipality of Calima / Darien, ideal to enjoy the countryside and nature, to schedule your family outing or the "patch" with friends.

The Calima River is one of the main tourist destinations for weekends and holidays.

The Calima River is possibly “the most common escape place used by tourists and bathers from all over the Cauca Valley.”

One of the main attractions of this river is its high flow and its water is cold and crystal clear.

It also has humid forest conditions, so it has a great variety of fauna and flora.

These walks usually take food or prepare directly on the river. The latter are known as "Pot Walks" and the most traditional are those in which Sancocho de Gallina is prepared.

Similarly, if you do not want to prepare food in the river or take it, you can always go to one of the restaurants in the area. Finding food sales in the sector is very easy, especially if you are in one of the spas.

There is only one route of entry and exit of the Calima River, so getting to the place is relatively simple. If you go by private car or bus you get very easy since the main “beach or puddle is very close to paved roads.

Cascades of the Nereids. It is about 27 km from the main park of Villamaría and on a private road of 1 km. It has a water fall of 180 meters and the steam that flows from the sulfur springs of the hot springs.

The city is linked to Manizales by paved road of 4 km and therefore with the whole country, with road of acceptable specifications. All paths in the municipality are connected by a large network of unpaved roads.

Tourism:

In the landscape of the coffee zone it is common to find imposing coffee plantations and species such as caturro, Bourbon, variety of Colombia, and even old and traditional Arabian coffee plantations where the beautiful guamos stand out. In the cold zone there is a waste of mountainous landscape, alternated with beautiful plains, sudden apparitions of the sun in the middle of the fog. All this makes Villamaría a unique municipality for its natural, cultural and historical attractions contained in each of the sectors, in a privileged and unique way.

Villamaría is known as the Villa de las Flores for its floral and horticultural tradition. It is the right place to take tours of the ecological trails that have served as a touristic showcase for the region. And it is very close to the Snowy.

In the rural area, 12 ecological trails are identified.

La ciudad está unida a Manizales por carretera pavimentada de 4 Km. y por ende con todo el país, con carretera de especificaciones aceptables. Todas las veredas del municipio están comunicadas por una gran red de carreteras de penetración sin pavimentar.

Turismo:

En el paisaje de la zona cafetera es común encontrar imponentes plantaciones de café y especies como el caturro, borbón, variedad de Colombia, y aun viejos y tradicionales cafetales de arábigo donde se destacan los hermosos guamos.  En la zona fría existe un despilfarro de paisaje montañoso, alternado con bellas planicies, súbitas apariciones del sol en medio de la neblina. Todo esto hace de Villamaría un municipio inigualable por sus atractivos naturales, culturales e históricos contenidos en cada uno de los sectores, de una manera privilegiada y única.

Villamaría es conocida como la Villa de las Flores por su tradición floral y hortícola. Es el lugar propicio para hacer recorridos por los senderos ecológicos que han servido como vitrina turística de la región.  Y está muy cerca de los Nevados. 

En la zona rural se identifican 12 senderos ecológicos .

 La Feria Nacional de la Horticultura, festividad emblemática de Villamaría. Tiene diferentes actividades como el Reinado Regional de las Flores y Veredal de la Horticultura, Encuentro de las Fondas de Arrieros del Camino y la exposición de productos hortícolas y se celebra en junio de cada año.   

• En cuanto a gastronomía, los chorizos y la mazamorra,  platillos típicos tradicionales de la región cafetera, tienen su propia versión villamariana, y la sirven con los frijoles, el sudado y la morcilla. 

ESTE HERMOSO MUNICIPIO CERCA AL NEVADO DEL RUIZ  OFRECE OTRAS ALTERNATIVAS DE ECOTURISMO COMO:

• Sendero Alto del Portón. Es un mirador natural y cercano del municipio, delimita lo urbano de lo rural; se encuentran pequeñas fincas temperad eros de producción hortícola y floral. Se observa la capital del departamento de Caldas, Manizales y panorámicas de la zona rural.  

• Sendero de los Tapias. Por un camino de tres horas se encuentran los bosques protegidos por los finqueros. Antiguo camino de arriería. El trayecto inicia en el Parque de Villamaría, después sigue para Turín, Tejares, la Inesita, y Camino de los Tapias para terminar en la Fonda el Arroyo.  

• Sendero Cinco Puentes. Este recorrido presenta varias opciones en sus caminos, se observa especialmente cultivos en laderas, aguas de la Quebrada el Arroyo por la cual el sendero cruza cinco puentes en su trayectoria. Es un paseo de cuatro horas.  

• Senderos del Sector Alquería. Es un sector preferido por los deportistas y caminantes por tener la opción de varios anillos para las andanzas rurales. Aquí  se encuentra la Finca la Alquería, fincas de producción agrícola especialmente hortalizas y flores. Allí se desarrollan proyectos de turismo místico, lugar de meditación, relajación y senderismos con propuesta energética y spa rural.  

• Sendero a la Capilla del Arroyo. Paraje histórico con una travesía de 3 horas, es conocido por ser un mirador límite entre la belleza paisajística que se puede observar entre las zonas hortícolas y cafeteras del municipio.   

• Sendero de los Túneles. Cinco túneles pertenecen al territorio de Villamaría, donde se destaca su majestuosa arquitectura, los túneles, la antigua estación del ferrocarril, algunas ruinas de puentes y misterios ancestrales.  Por la carrilera del camino de los túneles pasó el tren gestor del comercio y del desarrollo de ésta región.    

La caminata de dos horas permite varias rutas para elegir entre los gustos de los turistas, en el recorrido podemos apreciar historia, variedad en agricultura y las huellas de la erupción del Nevado del Ruiz. Este da apertura en el Parque de Villamaría, Barrio Santa Ana, vía férrea  dos  túneles  y los charcos de los túneles.

 En mi nombre y en el del Municipio de Villamaria, quiero hacer llegar a ustedes mi caluroso saludo de alegría y satisfacción de poder ofrecerles nuestro querido municipio.

THIS BEAUTIFUL MUNICIPALITY NEAR NEVADO DEL RUIZ OFFERS OTHER ECOTOURISM ALTERNATIVES AS:

• High Gate Path. It is a natural viewpoint and close to the municipality, delimits the urban from the rural; small tempera eros farms of horticultural and floral production are found. The capital of the department of Caldas, Manizales and panoramic of the rural area is observed.

• Path of the Tapias. On a three-hour road there are forests protected by farmers. Old road of engineering. The journey begins in the Villamaría Park, then continues to Turin, Tejares, La Inesita, and Camino de los Tapias to finish at the Fonda el Arroyo.

• Five Bridges Trail. This route presents several options on its roads, especially crops on slopes, waters of the Quebrada el Arroyo, through which the path crosses five bridges along its path. It is a four hour walk.

• Trails of the Alquería Sector. It is a sector preferred by athletes and walkers for having the option of several rings for rural wanderings. Here is the Finca la Alquería, agricultural production farms especially vegetables and flowers. There, mystical tourism, meditation, relaxation and hiking projects with an energetic proposal and rural spa are developed.

• Path to the Arroyo Chapel. Historic site with a 3-hour crossing, it is known to be a border viewpoint between the scenic beauty that can be observed between the horticultural and coffee areas of the municipality.

• Path of the Tunnels. Five tunnels belong to the territory of Villamaría, where its majestic architecture, tunnels, the old railway station, some ruins of bridges and ancestral mysteries stand out. The trade and development train of this region passed through the lane of the tunnel road.

The two-hour walk allows several routes to choose between the tastes of tourists, in the tour we can appreciate history, variety in agriculture and the traces of the eruption of the Nevado del Ruiz. This opens in the Villamaría Park, Barrio Santa Ana, two rail tunnels and the puddles of the tunnels.

Paya es un municipio colombiano ubicado en la Provincia de La Libertad, en el departamento de Boyacá. Se encuentra aproximadamente a 255 km de la ciudad de Tunja, capital del departamento.

Donde se encuentran Las Termópilas de Paya, en Boyacá, construcción realizada por los jesuitas en 1.630 y fueron declaradas como bien de interés cultural donde se realizó una imponente batalla  hace 200 años .El coronel Antonio Arredondo, fue enviado por Francisco de Paula Santander y Simón Bolívar a tomar el fortín y el pueblo de Paya además del camino para cruzar el Páramo de Pisba y marchar a Tunja y Bogotá Hoy la promesa es un hecho. La historia inmortalizó a los 200 soldados realistas que combatieron el 27 de junio de 1819, en el cerro de Paya, a 600 hombres patriotas, logrando así el primer gran triunfo del ejército libertador.

 Paya is a Colombian municipality located in the Province of La Libertad, in the department of Boyacá. It is located approximately 255 km from the city of Tunja, capital of the department.

Where are the Thermopylae of Paya, in Boyacá, construction carried out by the Jesuits in 1630 and were declared as an asset of cultural interest where an imposing battle was carried out 200 years ago. Los indios, plato con nombre ancestral emana las tradiciones campesinas de Sotaquirá, sus carnes (gallina y cerdo) acompañadas de papas, rubas y demás, hacen un complemento perfecto.

La gallina cocinada y luego puesta al horno de leña es significativa de Pachavita, su exquisito sabor campesino hace recordar por un momento cómo es la vida en el campo; la arepa de maíz es su fiel acompañante.
