Cascades of the Nereids. It is about 27 km from the main park of Villamaría and on a private road of 1 km. It has a water fall of 180 meters and the steam that flows from the sulfur springs of the hot springs.

paths in the municipality are connected by a large network of unpaved roads.
Tourism:
In the landscape of the coffee zone it is common to find
imposing coffee plantations and species such as caturro, Bourbon, variety of
Colombia, and even old and traditional Arabian coffee plantations where the
beautiful guamos stand out. In the cold zone there is a waste of mountainous
landscape, alternated with beautiful plains, sudden apparitions of the sun in the
middle of the fog. All this makes Villamaría a unique municipality for its
natural, cultural and historical attractions contained in each of the sectors,
in a privileged and unique way.
Villamaría is known as the Villa de las Flores for its
floral and horticultural tradition. It is the right place to take tours of the
ecological trails that have served as a touristic showcase for the region. And
it is very close to the Snowy.
In the rural area, 12 ecological trails are identified.

The National Horticultural Fair, emblematic
festival of Villamaría. It has different activities such as the Regional Reign
of Flowers and Veredal of Horticulture, Meeting of the Fonderos de Arrieros del
Camino and the exhibition of horticultural products and is held in June of each
year.
• As for gastronomy, chorizos and mazamorra, traditional
dishes from the coffee region, have their own Villamarian version, and they
serve it with beans, sweat and black pudding.

país, con carretera de especificaciones aceptables. Todas las veredas del
municipio están comunicadas por una gran red de carreteras de penetración sin
pavimentar.
Turismo:
En el paisaje
de la zona cafetera es común encontrar imponentes plantaciones de café y
especies como el caturro, borbón, variedad de Colombia, y aun viejos y
tradicionales cafetales de arábigo donde se destacan los hermosos guamos. En
la zona fría existe un despilfarro de paisaje montañoso, alternado con bellas
planicies, súbitas apariciones del sol en medio de la neblina. Todo esto
hace de Villamaría un municipio inigualable por sus atractivos naturales,
culturales e históricos contenidos en cada uno de los sectores, de una manera
privilegiada y única.
Villamaría es
conocida como la Villa de las Flores por su tradición floral y
hortícola. Es el lugar propicio para hacer recorridos por los senderos
ecológicos que han servido como vitrina turística de la región. Y
está muy cerca de los Nevados.
En la zona rural se identifican 12 senderos
ecológicos .

La Feria
Nacional de la Horticultura, festividad emblemática de Villamaría.
Tiene diferentes actividades como el Reinado Regional de las Flores y Veredal
de la Horticultura, Encuentro de las Fondas de Arrieros del Camino y la
exposición de productos hortícolas y se celebra en junio de cada
año.
• En cuanto a
gastronomía, los chorizos y la mazamorra, platillos típicos
tradicionales de la región cafetera, tienen su propia versión villamariana, y
la sirven con los frijoles, el sudado y la morcilla.
ESTE HERMOSO MUNICIPIO CERCA AL NEVADO DEL RUIZ OFRECE OTRAS ALTERNATIVAS DE ECOTURISMO COMO:
• Sendero Alto
del Portón. Es un mirador natural y cercano del municipio, delimita lo urbano
de lo rural; se encuentran pequeñas fincas temperad eros de producción
hortícola y floral. Se observa la capital del departamento de Caldas, Manizales
y panorámicas de la zona rural.
• Sendero de
los Tapias. Por un camino de tres horas se encuentran los bosques protegidos
por los finqueros. Antiguo camino de arriería. El trayecto inicia en el Parque
de Villamaría, después sigue para Turín, Tejares, la Inesita, y Camino de
los Tapias para terminar en la Fonda el Arroyo.
• Sendero
Cinco Puentes. Este recorrido presenta varias opciones en sus caminos, se
observa especialmente cultivos en laderas, aguas de la Quebrada el
Arroyo por la cual el sendero cruza cinco puentes en su trayectoria. Es un
paseo de cuatro horas.
• Senderos del
Sector Alquería. Es un sector preferido por los deportistas y caminantes por
tener la opción de varios anillos para las andanzas rurales. Aquí se
encuentra la Finca la Alquería, fincas de producción agrícola
especialmente hortalizas y flores. Allí se desarrollan proyectos de turismo
místico, lugar de meditación, relajación y senderismos con propuesta energética
y spa rural.
• Sendero
a la Capilla del Arroyo. Paraje histórico con una travesía de 3
horas, es conocido por ser un mirador límite entre la belleza paisajística que
se puede observar entre las zonas hortícolas y cafeteras del
municipio.
• Sendero de
los Túneles. Cinco túneles pertenecen al territorio de Villamaría, donde se
destaca su majestuosa arquitectura, los túneles, la antigua estación del
ferrocarril, algunas ruinas de puentes y misterios ancestrales. Por
la carrilera del camino de los túneles pasó el tren gestor del comercio y del
desarrollo de ésta región.
La caminata de
dos horas permite varias rutas para elegir entre los gustos de los turistas, en
el recorrido podemos apreciar historia, variedad en agricultura y las huellas
de la erupción del Nevado del Ruiz. Este da apertura en el Parque de
Villamaría, Barrio Santa Ana, vía
férrea dos túneles y los charcos de los
túneles.

OTHER ECOTOURISM ALTERNATIVES AS:
• High Gate Path. It is a natural viewpoint and close to the
municipality, delimits the urban from the rural; small tempera eros farms of
horticultural and floral production are found. The capital of the department of
Caldas, Manizales and panoramic of the rural area is observed.
• Path of the Tapias. On a three-hour road there are forests
protected by farmers. Old road of engineering. The journey begins in the
Villamaría Park, then continues to Turin, Tejares, La Inesita, and Camino de
los Tapias to finish at the Fonda el Arroyo.
• Five Bridges Trail. This route presents several options on
its roads, especially crops on slopes, waters of the Quebrada el Arroyo,
through which the path crosses five bridges along its path. It is a four hour
walk.
• Trails of the Alquería Sector. It is a sector preferred by

agriculture and the traces of the eruption of the Nevado del Ruiz. This opens
