A joint effort between the La Morelia farm in Quindío, Amativo and Angel -in- us, brings the best of Colombian coffee to 37 of its 800 stores in South Korea.
See a handful of Koreans walking through coffee plantations in the traditional La Morelia farm, marveling at the green landscape, the aroma of coffee and the warmth of the people, it is still a striking image.
It is no longer a rare scene thanks to Amativo, a company founded three years ago in Medellín that is dedicated to the export of differentiated coffees, with exotic varieties and with traceability, to 10 countries of the world.

Recently, he was visited by Jung Ah Kang, the marketing and promotion manager of Angel -in- us, a company that is part of the business conglomerate Lotte, one of the most robust in Asia and with more than 800 stores in that Asian country.
He toured the coffee plantations of the La Morelia farm in Quindío, to know the origin of the coffee that Koreans already taste in their stores.
"I like Colombia from the mountains and the sky, it's very romantic. The people are friendly, even the food is similar to Korean. We want to present in Korea more than Colombian coffee. You can buy Colombian coffee in Korea, but not Colombian culture. I want to sell coffee with Colombian culture, which is exciting, fun and cheerful. I like it, "says Mrs. Kang.
Frequently Amativo invites customers from different parts of the world to know first-hand the origin of the coffee they offer in places like South Korea, China, the United States, Spain and Chile. They take them to visit the farms where they buy their coffee, in departments such as Antioquia, Risaralda, Quindío, Valle del Cauca and Nariño.
"The idea is to connect our customers from Korea and Asia, inviting them to Colombia so that they know the culture of coffee and that they know how their coffee is prepared. In the three years of Amativo we have brought many coffee buyers, our clients, also journalists to share everything that is Colombia and Colombian coffee, "says the businessman.

Un trabajo conjunto entre la finca La Morelia en el Quindío, Amativo y Angel -in- us, lleva lo mejor del café colombiano a 37 de sus 800 tiendas de Corea del Sur.

Ver un puñado de coreanos caminando por cafetales en la tradicional finca La Morelia, maravillados con el verde del paisaje, el aroma del café y la calidez de la gente, no deja de ser una imagen llamativa.

Ya no es una escena poco frecuente gracias a Amativo, una compañía fundada hace tres años en Medellín que se dedica a la exportación de cafés diferenciados, con variedades exóticas y con trazabilidad, a 10 países del mundo.

“Desde el primer día encontré lo que buscaba. El sabor es excelente y mi barista y yo estamos muy sorprendidos con el sabor. El aroma es perfecto, tienen diferentes tipos de sabores, es maravilloso”, Jung Ah Kang, Gerente de Mercadeo y Promoción de Angel -in- us

Recientemente recibió la visita de Jung Ah Kang, la gerente de Mercadeo y Promoción de Angel -in- us, empresa que hace parte del conglomerado empresarial Lotte, uno de los más robustos de Asia y con más de 800 locales en ese país asiático.

Recorrió los cafetales de la finca La Morelia en el Quindío, para conocer la procedencia del café que ya degustan los coreanos en sus tiendas. 

“Me gusta de Colombia las montañas y el cielo, es muy romántico. La gente es amigable, incluso la comida es similar a la coreana. Queremos presentar en Corea más que el café colombiano. Se puede comprar el café colombiano en Corea, pero no la cultura colombiana. Quiero vender el café con la cultura colombiana, que es emocionante, divertida y alegre. Me gusta”, asegura la señora Kang. 

Con frecuencia Amativo invita a clientes provenientes de diferentes partes del mundo para que conozcan de primera mano el origen del café que ofrecen en lugares como Corea del Sur, China, Estados Unidos, España y Chile. Los llevan a visitar las fincas a las que le compran el café, en departamentos como Antioquia, Risaralda, Quindío, Valle del Cauca y Nariño.

“La idea es conectar nuestros clientes de Corea y de Asia, invitándolos a Colombia para que conozcan la cultura del café y que conozcan cómo se prepara su café. En los tres años de Amativo hemos traído muchos compradores de café, nuestros clientes, también periodistas para compartir todo lo que es Colombia y el café de Colombia”, señala el empresario.

 Up to 24,000 kilometers or, what is the same, a little less than four times the distance between Barcelona and New York. It is the length of the Great Trail, the largest hiking trail in the world. Under construction since 1992, it has just been inaugurated in Canada, a country that runs from east to west through 13 provinces. To do this, a whole network has been woven together with up to 400 roads free of motorized traffic.

Cyclists, fans of snow sports, horseback riding or simply taking a walk outdoors, are welcome in this huge artery that stretches from San Juan de Terranova, in the far east of the country, to Victoria, beyond Vancouver, just in the southwest part of Canada.

Between one limit and another of the Great Trail, as you can see in this map, a detour to the northwest of the country and to Yukon, to be able to enjoy, among others, places as exceptional as the Kluane National Park. Enjoy views like these or get even more juice to the infrastructure is possible, with activities in their environment such as cycling, riding, cross-country skiing or the controls of a snowmobile and, also, a kayak.

In fact, for those who love adventures on (or under) water, it is precisely over a quarter of this Great Trail that runs through it, so to put on the oars of a canoe or a kayak is an experience more than add to those who are encouraged to travel part of this network of trails.

Its promoters say, the Trans Canada Trail, that this macro project in which they embarked is a "real gift of Canadians to Canadians". Perhaps for this reason, four out of five citizens of this country are at a maximum distance of 30 minutes from any of the access points to the path.

The objectives to overturn for decades in making this initiative a reality? Various. Among them, the non-governmental organization highlights the desire to inspire a more active way of life among Canadians. The preservation of the green zones of the country and the opening of a new window from which to lean out to its natural patrimony, also figure between the ends of the Great Trail. Serve as a stimulus to tourism and, with it, employment and the economy, is another objective of this huge oasis of hiking and nature. Therefore, it is also easily accessible from the main airports in the country.

In charge of the maintenance of the different sections of this road are local organizations, provincial authorities, national agencies and municipalities throughout the country. And, in charge of locals and travelers who dare to explore this giant hiking trail? CANADA INAGURA LA PISTA DE SENDERISMO MÁS EXTENSA DEL MUNDO.

24.000 KILOMETROS LIBRES DE TRAFICO AUTOMOTOR

Hasta 24.000 kilómetros o, lo que es lo mismo, poco menos que cuatro veces la distancia entre Barcelona y Nueva York. Es la longitud del Great Trail, la pista de senderismo más grande del mundo. En construcción desde 1992, acaba de ser inaugurada en Canadá, país que recorre de este a oeste atravesando hasta 13 provincias. Para ello, se ha entretejido toda una red hilvanada con hasta 400 caminos libres de tráfico motorizado.

Los ciclistas, los apasionados de los deportes de nieve, de montar a caballo o, sencillamente, de dar una vuelta al aire libre, son bienvenidos en esta enorme arteria que se extiende desde San Juan de Terranova, en el extremo este del país, hasta Victoria, más allá de Vancouver, justo en la parte sudoeste de Canadá.

Entre un límite y otro del Great Trail, como se puede ver en este mapa, un desvío hacia el noroeste del país y a Yukon, para poder gozar, entre otros, de lugares tan excepcionales como el parque nacional de Kluane. Disfrutar de vistas como esas o sacarle aún más jugo a la infraestructura es posible, con actividades en su entorno como el ciclismo, la equitación, el esquí de fondo o a los mandos de una moto de nieve y, también, de un kayak.

De echo, para los amantes de las aventuras sobre (o bajo) el agua, por ella precisamente discurre algo más de un cuarto de este Great Trail, por lo que ponerse a los remos de una canoa o de un kayak es una experiencia más a sumar para quienes se animen a recorrer parte de esta red de senderos.

Dicen sus impulsores, la Trans Canadá Trail, que este macroproyecto en el que se embarcaron es un “verdadero regalo de los canadienses a los canadienses”. Tal vez por ello, cuatro de cada cinco ciudadanos de este país están a una distancia máxima de 30 minutos de alguno de los puntos de acceso al sendero.

¿Los objetivos para volcarse durante décadas en hacer realidad esta iniciativa? Varios. Entre ellos, la organización no gubernamental destaca el deseo de inspirar un modo de vida más activo entre los canadienses. La preservación de las zonas verdes del país y la apertura de una nueva ventana desde la que asomarse a su patrimonio natural, figuran también entre los fines del Great Trail. Servir como estímulo al turismo y, con ello, al empleo y la economía, es otro de los objetivos de este enorme oasis del senderismo y la naturaleza. Por ello, es también fácilmente accesible desde los principales aeropuertos del país.

A cargo del mantenimiento de las distintas secciones de este camino están organizaciones locales, autoridades provinciales, agencias nacionales y ayuntamientos de todo el país. Y , ¿a cargo de los locales y viajeros que se animen a explorar esta gigante pista de senderismo?
